How geek of you!
This weblog explores my own experience with science fiction and how I have become what many would define as a "geek" when it comes to my passion. Sometimes I am troubled by this term as it indicates that others observe your "passion" as an "obsession." But, then again, when I catch myself talking about some new novel or clarifying for someone the different television series of Star Trek, I hear a small voice in my head saying, "holy crap, that was very geek of you." So perhaps the purpose of this blog will be no more then to offer myself a space to release my passion for sci fi and give my family, friends, coworkers (and, yes, even my students) a break. But then again...maybe not.
